Our office is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Classes run throughout the day, with morning sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, afternoon sessions from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Is Fast Lane Traffic School approved by the Florida DHSMV?
Yes, Fast Lane Traffic School is fully approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV). Our course completion certificates are recognized by the DHSMV, all Florida courts, and insurance companies throughout the state.

Which course do I need to take?
The course you need depends on your specific situation:
- First-time driver's license applicants: 4-Hour Drug & Alcohol Course
- Traffic ticket recipients: 4-Hour BDI Course
- License suspension/revocation: 12-Hour ADI Course
- Drivers 55+ seeking insurance discount: Senior 4-Hour Discount Driver Course
- New license test preparation: Class E Knowledge Test

How long are the courses?
Our courses vary in length:
- Class E Knowledge Test: Approximately 1 hour
- 4-Hour BDI Course: 4 hours (completed in one day)
- 4-Hour Drug & Alcohol Course: 4 hours (completed in one day)
- 12-Hour ADI Course: 12 hours (typically completed over two days)
- Senior 4-Hour Discount Driver Course: 4 hours (completed in one day)
Are there tests at the end of the courses?
The Class E Knowledge Test is specifically a test for your driver's license. The 4-Hour Drug & Alcohol Course includes a short exam at the end that you must pass with at least 80% to receive your completion certificate. The BDI, ADI, and Senior Discount Driver courses do not have formal exams - you simply need to attend and participate in the full session to receive your certificate.
Can I take courses online?
While some traffic schools offer online options, Fast Lane Traffic School specializes in in-person classroom instruction. Our classroom-based approach provides several advantages, including direct interaction with experienced instructors, the ability to ask questions in real-time, and a distraction-free learning environment. Additionally, some courses (like the 12-Hour ADI Course) are required by Florida law to be completed in person.

How do I book a course?
You can book a course in several ways:

The online booking system is the fastest method and allows you to see all available dates and times instantly.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my course?
You can reschedule or cancel your course up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without any penalty. For rescheduling or cancellations less than 24 hours before the course, a $10 fee applies. To reschedule or cancel, simply call us at (561) 555-1234 or email info@fastlanetraffic.com with your name and booking details.
How far in advance should I book my course?
We recommend booking at least one week in advance to ensure you get your preferred date and time, especially for weekend courses which tend to fill up quickly. However, we often have same-day or next-day availability during weekdays. If you have a court deadline approaching, please book as soon as possible to ensure you can complete the course in time.
Do you offer evening or weekend classes?
Yes, we offer evening classes Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for most 4-hour courses. We also offer weekend classes on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The 12-Hour ADI Course is typically offered in weekend formats (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and weekday evening formats (Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM over two days).
4 Certificates & Completion
When will I receive my course completion certificate?
For most courses, you'll receive your completion certificate immediately at the end of the class. For the 12-Hour ADI Course, you'll receive your certificate after completing all 12 hours of instruction. We also electronically report your course completion to the Florida DHSMV within 24-48 hours.
What if I lose my certificate?
If you lose your certificate, we can provide a replacement for a $10 fee. You can request a replacement certificate by phone, email, or in person. Please provide your full name, date of birth, and the approximate date you completed the course. Replacement certificates can be picked up in person or mailed to your address.
How long are certificates valid?
Certificate validity varies by course type:
- Class E Knowledge Test: Valid for 1 year
- 4-Hour Drug & Alcohol Course: Does not expire
- 4-Hour BDI Course: Valid for ticket dismissal for 90 days from date of issuance
- 12-Hour ADI Course: Does not expire
- Senior Discount Driver Course: Valid for insurance discounts for 3 years
How do I verify that my course completion was reported to the DHSMV?
We electronically report all course completions to the Florida DHSMV within 24-48 hours. You can verify that your completion has been reported by checking your driver record on the Florida DHSMV website or by calling the DHSMV at (850) 617-2000. If your completion does not appear on your record after 48 hours, please contact us and we'll resolve the issue immediately.
5 Payment & Pricing
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, cash, and money orders. Payment is due at the time of booking or at the beginning of the course. We do not accept personal checks.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer several discounts:
- Bundle Discount: Save up to 15% when you book multiple courses
- Military Discount: 10% off for active duty and veterans (ID required)
- Student Discount: 10% off with valid student ID
- Group Discount: 10% off per person for groups of 3 or more
- Referral Discount: $10 off your next course when you refer a friend
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer payment plans for the 12-Hour ADI Course. You can pay 50% at the time of booking and the remaining 50% before receiving your certificate. For all other courses, full payment is required at the time of booking or at the beginning of the course. Please contact our office for more information about payment plan options.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes, we offer full refunds for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled course. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course, a $10 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. 6 Requirements & Eligibility
What do I need to bring to class?
For all courses, please bring:
- Valid photo identification (driver's license, passport, or state ID)
- Payment (if not already paid online)
- Traffic citation or court order (if applicable)
- Comfortable clothing (our classrooms are temperature-controlled)
- Snacks or drinks (optional, we also provide water and have vending machines)
All course materials, including pens and paper, will be provided.
Are there age requirements for the courses?
Age requirements vary by course:
- Class E Knowledge Test: Must be at least 15 years old
- 4-Hour Drug & Alcohol Course: No minimum age
- 4-Hour BDI Course: No minimum age
- 12-Hour ADI Course: No minimum age
- Senior Discount Driver Course: Must be at least 55 years old
Do I need to be a Florida resident to take these courses?
For most courses, you do not need to be a Florida resident. However, the certificates are specifically valid for Florida driver's licenses and Florida courts. Non-residents who received a traffic ticket in Florida can take the BDI course. The Drug & Alcohol course is specifically for those applying for a Florida driver's license. The Senior Discount Driver course will primarily benefit those with Florida auto insurance policies.
What if I have special needs or require accommodations?
We are committed to accommodating students with special needs. Our facility is ADA accessible, and we can provide materials in large print. If you require specific accommodations, please inform us at the time of booking or call us at (561) 555-1234 at least 72 hours before your course so we can make appropriate arrangements. For students who are hearing impaired, we can arrange for an interpreter with advance notice (additional fees may apply).
